Bye bye Shane

Last week our budgie Shane died. I don't really know how old Shane was but I bought him as a first christmas present for Brendan way back in December 1993. So that's a pretty long life for a budgie. I asked Dr Harry at the Children's Pet and Animal Expo last year how long budgies live for and he said that males can live up to 15 years and we had Shane for almost 12 so that's good. In fact I've never had one live so long!
